The patient is considered healthy after the clinical symptoms have disappeared and if repeated tests for coronavirus are negative (the doctor requests an examination).
Family members and people living in the same apartment or house (household) with a patient with confirmed Covid-19 infection are considered high-risk contact persons. Whether a person with a confirmed Covid-19 infection is in a hospital or at home, people living with the patient are subject to home quarantine or self-isolation.
Persons returning to Latvia from countries where the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population exceeds 15 must carry out self-isolation at the place of residence (home quarantine) for the next 14 days. During this time, the person is advised to monitor their state of health and contact a family doctor if there are any signs of a respiratory infection (cough, sore throat, fever).
14-day self-isolation is not required if you arrive in Latvia from countries published on the Latvian Centre for Disease Prevention and Control website, where the 14 - day cumulative indicator does not exceed 15.
