The purpose of personal data processing is the identification of a person in the EKA e-environment during the study process.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council. 2016/679 On the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Article 6 (1) (a) of Directive 95/46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the data subject has consented to the processing of his personal data for one or more specific purposes.

If an agreement on obtaining education is concluded with the applicant, further data processing, including storage, shall take place in accordance with the provisions of this agreement. If the agreement on obtaining education is not concluded with the applicant, personal data will be stored for 30 (thirty) days from the moment when it has become clear that the agreement will not be concluded. After the expiration of this period, personal data is deleted or destroyed, depending on the type of personal data storage.

The student has the right:

• To request EKA to access and correct or delete its personal data, submitting a justification of its request, in the cases specified in regulatory enactments, to request a restriction of processing in relation to the data subject, or the right to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability..
• With questions about the processing of his / her personal data or about the violations in the processing of his / her personal data, the student is entitled to apply to the contact person indicated by EKA in matters of data processing and protection or submit a complaint to the supervisory authority - Data State Inspectorate.

The registration form and the study agreement indicate the provision of student information and a precondition for concluding a study agreement. Failure to do so may result in the contract not being concluded.

Photographs, video and / or audio recordings may be made on the premises of the University or during an event organized by EKA for the needs of publicity of LLC “Ekonomikas un kultūras augstskola” and for the purpose of informing the public about ESA activities or the event. These activities are performed in accordance with the data processing requirements, without identifying specific persons. The obtained materials can be published on the website of the EKA University of Applied Sciences, on social media on the Internet and / or in the media.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you have the right to request that no such action be taken against you.
