EKA Business Incubator takes part in a project that educates about environmentally friendly cars

In cooperation with the EKA Business Incubator and with the help of the Head of the Business Incubator, Professor Vita Zariņa, the project “Journey to the ECO” (“Brauciens uz EKO”) is being implemented within the framework of the EU program Future Heroes Latvia. Latvian schoolgirls-leaders are involved in the project -  they create a special website and have attracted experts to obtain information. The aim of the project is to educate people about environmentally friendly cars, to popularize information about their use, as well as to "connect" people with their favorite, more suitable cars.

Edgars Čerkovskis, an economist and lecturer at EKA, was involved as an expert and ECO activist in order to be able to accurately inform the public about these cars. Very important information was obtained from the Edgars about the charging and driving of electric cars. However, the most interesting and necessary information was about the overthrow of electric car myths and stereotypes. The participants of the project learned that the slow charging of cars is just a myth, but the batteries are able to withstand long distances, as well as the fact that a person is able to control the car′s electricity consumption and costs more easily than fuel consumption.

To find out more about the project, go to the website https://brauciens-uz-eko.web.app/ and if you are thinking of buying a new car, first fill in the survey on the project website "Your dream car", which will offer you the most suitable car according to your chosen criteria. Let′s live green!

Future Heroes Latvia is a growth mindset-driven leadership & entrepreneurship program for girls aged 13-17 to unlock their potential and create positive impact in the world.
