EURAXESS Latvia is a network created in September 2018 in Latvia. The main aim of the platform is to provide information and personal assistance for foreign researchers about research job opportunities in Latvia as well as give practical information for foreign researchers and their family members who are interested in working and living in Latvia during their mobility. In addition, for those who are planning to go abroad, EURAXESS Latvia platform delivers information and contacts to receive support during their stay in European or any other foreign country.

EURAXESS is European Research Area initiative aiming to arrange international and intersectional mobility for researchers in Europe and in Third World Countries and also to support open labour market for researchers. To meet the goal, European Commission in cooperation with European Union programme countries and partners from Countries of the Third World in North America, Latin America, Caribbean countries and in Southeast Asia, India, China, Japan and South Korea provides EURAXESS network activity and has created a webpage https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/.

For EURAXESS Latvia network efficient work, in October of this year there training activities organized for EURAXESS Latvia network participants and some activities arranged to update information on the main EURAXESS webpage www.euraxess.lv for Latvian researchers mobility realization.
