Qn Alliance first International week

Natalja Verina, assistant professor at EKA University of Applied Sciences and the director of the study program "Management," and an assistant professor and project manager of EKA scientific institution Kaspars Šteinbergs, participated in the International Academic Week (IAW), organized by the Aalen University of Applied Sciences from June 3 to 8. This IAW was organized as one of the activities of the Qn European Alliance.

This week was very intensive with various activities, such as Qn European Alliance working group meetings and work planning, research group member meetings, and contact making. Additionally, both N. Verina and K. Steinbergs participated in a variety of different activities. K. Steinbergs led the workshop "Application of Lego in Strategic Planning" for the students of the Master′s study programs "Sustainable Business Management" and "Finance Management" at the Aalen University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with professor Dr. Simone Häussler. In the workshop, students used the Lego Serious Play method to analyze the case studies in strategic planning.

N. Verina took part in the hybrid format event "Presentations to students about partner universities as places of study abroad," the purpose of which was to promote the international mobility of students at Aalen University of Applied Sciences. During the event, 10 universities—Qn European Alliance partners—as well as 4 associate partners—the University of Namibia, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), Colorado School of Mines (USA), and King Mongkut′s University of Technology North Bangkok (Thailand)—presented their universities, their advantages and opportunities, as well as the range of mobility offers for students and teachers.

In general, EKA representatives at this IAW assessed the event as very successful, which made it possible to establish new contacts for future cooperation. Participation in this event was possible thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ mobility program.
