Interview explores challenges in creating an inclusive work environment for deaf people

In an interview with Indra Seļukas, the Head of the social enterprise “Visi Var” (“Anyone can”), Edgars Čerkovskis, who is the director of the study program “Circular Economics and Social Entrepreneurship” at the EKA University of Applied Sciences, explored how to include deaf people in the labour market.

The Head of the company was asked about both the daily challenges and benefits of creating an inclusive work environment for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. The company “Visi Var” is a wonderful example of how social enterprises can combine sustainable practices by employing people with disabilities.
