EKA at the 2nd GreenEntre4Deaf Transnational Project Meeting in Spain

On 21–22 October 2025, representatives of the EKA University of Applied Sciences took part in the second transnational project meeting (2nd TPM) of GreenEntre4Deaf, held at the University of Valladolid (Spain).

During the meeting, partners discussed the progress achieved so far and agreed on the next steps for developing learning materials and digital tools that will support people with hearing impairments in acquiring green entrepreneurship skills.

EKA was represented by Project Manager Kaspars Steinbergs and VR and Mobile Application Development Expert Andrejs Birzgals.

On the second day of the meeting, the EKA team led the session Transnational Peer Review Through Co-Designing, presenting the joint framework developed for partners’ national co-design strategies. The presentation summarised insights gathered from earlier consultations with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) participants, highlighting accessibility needs, visual communication solutions, and collaboration approaches with DHH organisations and businesses. The discussion helped partners align on how these principles will be incorporated into the learning materials and the final strategy document.

Later that day, the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach was introduced as part of the project’s digital learning platform. The BMC helps structure business ideas — from value propositions and customer segments to resources, partnerships, and cost structures. This approach will form the basis of the mobile app content, enabling students to practically design and evaluate their own green business ideas.

The meeting in Valladolid marked an important step forward in the project’s development. It provided an opportunity for partners to coordinate their work in person, review prepared materials, and agree on concrete tasks supporting the creation of an inclusive, practical, and digitally accessible learning environment.
