SHIELD project workshop in Prishtina develops structure for cybersecurity training curriculum
Representatives of universities from Kosovo, Latvia, North Macedonia and Bulgaria met in Prishtina on 27–28 January 2026 for a Curriculum Development Workshop within the SHIELD project, where they agreed on the structure and delivery of a new cybersecurity training programme aimed at strengthening digital safety skills in secondary schools.
EKA University of Applied Sciences was represented at the workshop by the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Dr.oec. Jeļena Titko, and Researcher Dr.oec. Tatjana Tambovceva.
The two-day workshop, hosted by the University for Business and Technology (UBT), brought together project partners to jointly develop the WP3 cybersecurity training curriculum. Four working groups were established to define the scope and content of the programme. Discussions focused on identifying key topics such as cyber hygiene, phishing awareness, data protection, incident reporting and online safety for students, while ensuring that the curriculum remained practical and appropriate for the school environment.
Project partners also confirmed that an intensive training event will be held in Riga, Latvia in August 2026, marking an important step towards the broader implementation of cybersecurity education across the partner countries..
