October 2025: Portrait of Social Enterprises
On 24 October 2025, Aija Sannikova, EKA researcher and lecturer, and Edgars Čerkovskis, Director of the Master’s Programme “Circular Economy and Social Entrepreneurship”, participated in the national conference organised by the Ministry of Welfare. During the event, they presented the latest research findings on the profile of Latvian social enterprises, highlighting their key characteristics, challenges, and contribution to sustainable development.
The presentation encouraged discussion on how research-based insights can strengthen public policy and promote the development of socially responsible business models in Latvia.
