September 2023: VI International Economic Forum “Open Innovation: from the Creativity of the Individual to an Innovative Science-Based Economy”
On 21–22 September 2023, the VI International Economic Forum “Open Innovation: from the Creativity of the Individual to an Innovative Science-Based Economy” took place at the Latvian Academy of Sciences. The aim of the Forum was to analyse the potential of human creativity and international ecosystems in the development of open innovation, as well as to present evidence-based solutions for promoting well-being in a globalised society.
EKA representatives contributed to the work of the Forum’s parallel sessions. Edgars Čerkovskis, Director of the EKA study programme “Circular Economy and Social Entrepreneurship”, moderated the session “Circular Economy as the Basis of Sustainable Development”, while Dr. oec. Jeļena Titko, EKA Vice-Rector for Science, together with Aija Brikše, representative of the Bank of Latvia, moderated the session “Financial Literacy and Innovations in the Financial Sector”. EKA’s involvement in the Forum strengthened the University’s contribution to discussions on sustainable development, circular economy, financial literacy, and innovations in the financial sector.
