INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC WEEK (IAW) (ARCHIVE)

International Academic Week 2025: A Week of Dialogue, Discovery and Global Connection

EKA University of Applied Sciences has successfully concluded International Academic Week 2025 (IAW2025, April) — an inspiring five-day journey of academic collaboration, cross-cultural exchange, and meaningful conversations about the future of education, business, law, and society.

This year, we proudly hosted 43 participants from 14 countries: Austria, Colombia, Czechia, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland,  Slovenia, Turkey, and the USA. The event took place during April 22-26, 2025.

Throughout the week:

  • We held over 24 lectures and workshops, covering diverse topics such as sustainable tourism, macroeconomics, digital balance, brand management, quality standards, corporate governance, leadership, war economics, and legal issues in international aviation.
  • We welcomed experts from 24 higher education institutions, who shared their insights and classroom experiences with EKA students and staff.
  • We explored staff development, project-based cooperation, and innovative ideas for community building and student well-being.
  • Our guests participated in speed networking, slow dating sessions, etECH2025 conference events, and a cultural tour of Riga, strengthening academic and personal ties across borders.

IAW2025 was more than an event — it was a platform for connecting minds, building partnerships, and creating shared knowledge that will continue to grow long after this week.

We thank all participants, partners, moderators, and organizers who made this week an inspiring success.

See you next year!
