EKA University of Applied Sciences Hosts DLEARN Project Lab 2025: Co-Creating the Future of Digital Education
From 3 to 5 November 2025, EKA University of Applied Sciences proudly hosted the DLEARN Project Lab 2025 – a three-day international co-creation and networking event organized in cooperation with the European Digital Learning Network (DLEARN).
The Project Lab brought together representatives of DLEARN member organizations from across Europe to design innovative project ideas for the 2026 EU funding calls. The event served as a collaborative space for sharing expertise, developing new partnerships, and aligning ideas with European policy priorities in education, digital learning, inclusion, and sustainability.
Three Days of Co-Creation and Innovation
The first day focused on Centralised Actions, featuring presentations of concept notes under Forward-Looking Projects and Alliances for Innovation. Participants shared ideas such as AI-driven learning pathways, digital heritage preservation, and green skills for Industry 5.0. The day concluded with an informal networking event at EKA’s Grapis Café, encouraging participants to connect in a friendly and creative atmosphere.
The second day was devoted to Cooperation Partnerships (KA2) and Mobility (KA1) projects. Participants worked in thematic groups to develop concrete project concepts and map potential partners. EKA researchers actively contributed to several initiatives, including AI4RURAL FUTURES, led by Kaspars Steinbergs, and GRADIENT – Green and Digital Integration for Sustainable Education Practices, led by Prof. Jelena Titko.
On the final day, participants focused on refining project outlines and defining follow-up actions. The concluding session emphasized building strong European consortia and preparing proposals for submission in 2026.
EKA – A Hub for European Collaboration
Hosting the DLEARN Project Lab underlined EKA`s role as an active European partner in digital transformation and innovation in education. The event strengthened cooperation among universities, training centers, and organizations working toward inclusive, ethical, and future-oriented learning.
EKA extends sincere thanks to all participants and partners for their contribution to the success of this inspiring event.
