FINANCIAL LITERACY AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION
The research direction focuses on analysing financial knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour of individuals and society, as well as developing effective approaches for improving financial competence. The research addresses financial decision-making, investment behaviour, and financial well-being among different population groups, including youth and adults. EKA researchers conduct empirical studies, surveys, and educational experiments aimed at identifying factors influencing financial literacy and testing innovative teaching methods in the context of a rapidly changing economic environment. Research outcomes contribute to academic publications, international conferences, and national initiatives promoting financial literacy in Latvia, including cooperation with public institutions and financial sector stakeholders.
The main focus of the research is related to SDG 4 – Quality Education, while also contributing to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 1 – No Poverty.
